equanimity asked:
I had received some loose-leaf green tea from a friend who recently visited China and was wondering if it is normal to see white foam on top of my brewed tea.
Could there be pesticide residues on my tea? I try to drink organic tea as much as possible, but don't want to throw away the tea which was a gift.
All honest answers appreciated. Thanks!

Is it being oxidized? Isn't it supposed to be an antioxidant.
I always prefer to drink my green tea after it's cool(don't like putting ice). So most of the time I drink them when the color already changed.

I've been drinking it a lot lately, and I know it has antioxidents in it and some beneficial vitamins, but does anyone know what this helps with?
Also, I've heard it speeds up your metabolism, but if I drink like one bottle of Arizona green tea a day will this really have an effect on my metabolism at all? I don't really need a faster one, because I'm super tiny and have a good metabolism as it is..but I do love the stuff!
lol I don't need a weight loss system. I weigh 98 lbs..

My dad was telling me how to make tea using tea bags in a coffee maker, and I wasn't paying attention, so now I am wondering how I do it. Please help. They are Lipton Green Tea Bags.

Bronze Girl asked:
I just bought different flavors of green tea (official tea leaves, not the tea bags). With these teas being flavored will I still get the benefits plain green tea has to offer?

I've currently revamped my whole lifestyle when I deployed to Afghanistan with the Army. I've got nothing to do here, so i'm focusing more on my health and fitness while I am here. Besides my new work out regimen, i'm trying to stop drinking soda, coffee and anything with sugar. So my question is, is Green Tea a healthy choice or should I just continue drinking water only?

I've heard green tea can be very healthy, but in what ways? And if it really is healthy what are the best types of green tea or the types to avoid?

PD asked:
I drink green tea regularly but is there a particular brand which contains more of the goodness of green tea or is it all similar?
I live in the UK so I am limited to what they sell in regular stores like tescos.
I know green tea is good for you but would for example Tetleys green tea bags have all these good properties as-well?

I'm a green tea fanatic, and I've noticed that cheeper brands or less authentic brands will give you tea that tastes like anchovies or seaweed. Its always an unpleasant surprise!
