I've heard that drinking green tea is healthy, but I've been wondering... does the store-brand bagged tea have the same benefits as the loose-leaf variety?

I always go organic for more healthful, tastier products!
Please visit http://www.adagio.com for fine, and inexpensive teas…they are the best in my book.
Oh, and "NO" the bagged tea in the grocery store isn’t as good as the whole teas. The stuff you get at the store is actually called "Fannings" which means the dust that falls off of the whole tea leaves as they are packaged. They sweep it up and bag it for your local grocery store…eww.
Check out this link for a great way to get started in whole leaf tea:

I order mine on line. I get loose tea and brew it since I think the paper on the tea bags makes a bad flavor and the tea sits too long in the bags.
Organic is best
There are many types of green tea. Some are mixed with Barley so that it doesnt have such a bitter taste. The best kind of Green Tea is the Chinese pure tea leaves. You put the dried up tea leaves in a cup of hot water and it is the purest form with the most anti-oxidents. It will however have a more bitter taste.
Go for an organic brand.
