How much green tea do you need to drink to lose weight in one week?

i’m desperate to shed a few pounds by monday and i’ve been drinking green tea twice a day… is that enough?

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, January 2005 issue dealt in detail about the benefits of green tea. It clearly indicates that green tea is a real fat fighter. It opined that substances present in green tea, popularly known as catechins, could prompt weight loss by burning calories and body fat.
In general, green tea leaves are not fermented unlike oolong tea and black tea. Also, green tea is rich in polyphenols, shown to have anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anticancer, and anti-oxidant properties.
The action of weight loss has been performed by the green tea by the way it maintains and lowers the blood sugar during the meals time. In other words, we can infer that your body is not creating the substances, which produce fat as readily as it normally would when the green tea is being included.
Green tea is being adored world wide as it offers a much better and less bitter taste than its siblings. The green tea is known for its ability to ease your stomach pain that a lot of people have and that means that it gets disappearing off the shelves every where you turn.

I have been drinking kirkland (costco brand) green tea for about 3 weeks now I i have already shed 7 pounds. I have not really changed my diet at all. but i dont eat fried foods. my normal eating habits are in the morning eating oatmeal or a muffin and drinking 2 cups green tea. for a snack i eat a granola bar or two. then for lunch i have a soup like tomato usually. then a snack probably another granola bar and more gree tea. 1 or 2 cups. then for dinner i usually have chicken boiled in water and a salad. with green tea. if i am hungry in the evening i eat fruit like oranges or apples ,grapes,plums. or i have popcorn no butter.
I do exercise every other day for only a hr. i go on the elliptical and i do 20-30 sits. thats it.
honestly if you use green tea as your main beverage and change your eating habits (if you eat junk) then you will see results! I have, an for me it seems its hard for me to loose weight.

green tea wont necessarily help you lose weight if you eat junk food or high calorie food on top.
Green tea only boosts your metabolism.
So, if you want to lose weight by monday exercise some more and eat only these foods (as well as drinking black coffee, green tea and water) with lean meat (like chicken) and fish (like salmon and sea bass):

Okay, green tea DOES help you lose weight. The link’s below, scroll down to "Weight loss." It’s because of a combo of polyphenols & caffeine.
That said, it works better for maintenance/long-term preventative. To lose weight fast, keep drinking it, but you’ll probably be better off with vigorous exercise?
