i am currently on a diet and i drink a few cups of green tea a day, without sugar. are there any health benefits to this? if not i still enjoy the taste :) but i would still like to know.

I’ve read alot about green tea, and I am an avid consumer. I know it has many health benefits from years of use, but I’ve heard alot about taking a green tea extract being beneficial as well. I’m curious if anyone knows whether or not the benefits of an extract could possibly be any better than Matcha powder? I would think the Matcha would be about as beneficial as one could get. If anyone has an info, please leave me an answer, preferably with your source of information for reference. Thank you.

Is green tea as healthy if watered down?

I like to drink white/green tea but don’t like small quantities. The bag I bought of loose tea says to use 2 tablespoons for 8 ounces but that is too small a cup for me. So I use 2 or 3 tablespoons for 16-24 ounces. Does that still have the equivalent health benefits to drinking an 8oz cup or does the extra water somehow diminish the positive aspects?

I bought some Kroger brand green tea bags, and no matter how I prepare it, it tastes somewhat bitter. I steep it 2 1/2 min. Does the amount of time you steep it, have any effect on it’s health benefits? To get the most health benefits, is green tea only the best or are other combinations with the green tea ok, such as pomegranate, etc? I do not shop specialty stores for tea, so any suggestions on brands one can find at the grocery that are good is appreciated.
