I have heard that drinking green tea helps promote weight loss. I am slightly sceptical though. How many cups a day does one have to drink in order for it to work?

I know that green tea promotes weight loss by boosting your metabolism, but is this also true for different kinds of green tea? I mean different flavors of it, like jasmine green tea, or toasted rice green tea (there’s a lot more but these are the only examples I can remember)

Green Tea drinks are so tasty to me,but after a couple of hours it tears my stomache apart completely! (especially the straight green tea) It hurts soooo bad that I want to cry almost lol, and it makes you run to the bathroom and have terribly sharp griping pains. Is this just me or is it the green tea?

I asked this in the health and diet section but the answers were like fake automated weight loss answers lol.

I drink it a lot because magazines and things say it is good for you because of its antioxidants. But I’ve heard that it causes weight loss too. What does green tea have to do with weight loss?

I drink green tea for its many benefits for the body. The tea speeds up the metabolism which will burn calories faster. This will lead to faster weight loss. But my personal goal is to gain more weight my adding more lean muscle. Is it okay to keep drinking green tea if my goal is to gain more weight and muscle.

Is it also okay to drink a glass of milk with green tea in the morning before i workout. Some people on here said it’s not good to drink both at the same time.

I am searching for a good brand of green tea pills that will help me with a variety of things; ADD, weight loss, depression, and generallly good health. Which brand is the most effective when altering these? And do green tea pills actually work or is is just another one of those placebo things? What store can I purchase it from?

And does it help you sleep ? :] I drink enough water, but I am thinking about subsituting a glass of water for a cup of green tea at night. Will this make any difference? And why does green tea come up so often in weight loss?

Me & a friend were talking about a current diet she is on & she mentioned her use of green tea pills. Well as a little side quest I’ve looked up countless articles on the pros & cons of green tea pills & their effect over the body & weight loss. Some also make a comment about how some companies only add trace amounts of green tea but still boast about how much green tea is actually contained in this tiny pill. Now, my question? How much green tea is actually IN these pills?
& How can we tell if theirs actually enough IN the pill to make any difference?
