I see you need info about weight loss. A relative of mine
recently had success with an online weight loss and nutrition site.
I looked at it and the site has real good content.
Hope this helps.
I wouldn’t recommend drinking green tea if you’re an athlete.
You might crash, due to the high amount of caffeine in green tea.
I wouldn’t if I were an athlete the caffeine=crash.
But it dose have it’s is hight in antioxidants.
I would recommend drinking a glass of hot green tea a day with honey, no sugar. I drink 1-2 glasses a day. I does have many benefits, check out one of the websites above.

Green tea is quite healthy. There is evidence that it has a number of health benefits:

However, most of the studies have examined higher doses of tea–a few cups a day. It seems highly unlikely that you would notice any effect on your health drinking only one cup once a week.
Will tea help your diet? That’s another question. Green tea is highly over-hyped as a weight loss product. It may have a small or slight positive effect on weight loss, but the science behind this effect is still very young and inconclusive. You can read more about this on another page that I maintain: http://ratetea.net/topic/tea-and-weight-loss/23/
Good luck!

I don’t see how tea can affect your diet. Especially if you only drink it once a week.
There are a lot of health benefits associated with drinking Green Tea. It is a powerful antioxidant with compounds that can shield you from many harmful diseases including cancer and heart disease. One of these compounds is EGCG, which is a substance with 25 to 100 times the antioxidant power of vitamins C and E. In fact, just one cup of green tea has more antioxidants than a serving of broccoli, spinach, carrots, or strawberries.
Green Tea has been proven helpful at:
Protecting joints against osteoarthritis
Preventing total body inflammation
Lowering your LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels
Preventing excess hormone activity
Shielding your body from abnormal cell growth
Protecting against lung cancer
Aiding weight loss
Improving your metabolism
Boosting your immune system
Improving skin cells
Destroying harmful bacteria that can poison your system
Preventing tooth decay
It is usually recommended to drink 3 cups of Green Tea per day to receive its full antioxidant power.
